My Whirled and Well, Come to It

Ed Menje here; the mynde behynd Fyne Lyne Design. Enough of misspellings already! Leave bad english to chat rooms and SMS/text messages and lets get down to why this site is here. I promise, no more misspellt words (oops). And now for something completely different. (apologies to Monty Python not necessary) On this, the personal side of the FyneLyne Design site, you'll get to taste a bit more of my personality and see how its Ed Menje completely part of my professional love of web and graphic design.

As of this writing I've spent the last month immersed in designing web pages and learning quite a bit on the journey. I've gone in just a few short weeks from relying on KompoZer to author pages to where I have now gained the confidence to write HTML and CSS code directly to the page. I have found that the Opera browser is also a masterful authoring program as well. Not only is it the "hands down" best web browser but I now use it and nPad2 to write the HTML and CSS for the very pages you are now viewing (if Opera would just display line numbers I could do away with nPad and keep it all in Opera). CSS is da Bomb as well. I am so psyched about what I've learned so far and look forward to many more revelations to come as I continue to press my abilities to the limit to make the best websites I can. I'll keep this site up to date as to what projects I've got in the works so that you can join me on the journey. Company is always welcome and served up some nice treats if I can find them in the cupboard.

One of my recent passions is Portable Apps, programs that can run on any computer from a flash drive. Here is a link to PortableApps.org. The PAM Themes page of the site contains the skins I've made for the Portable Apps Menu platform, and here are more links to other sites where you can get these programs for yourself on my links page. My Other passion is for the Opera browser which I feel keeps innovating many steps ahead of IE, Firefox and others. Opera is also available in a portable version at Opera-usb.com. Opera's features are phenomenal and just plain awsome.
